Industry support of London course helps ensure MRI safety remains prominent

Industry support played a central role in bringing Dr Emanuel Kanal’s European MRMD/MRSO course back to London recently, highlighting the importance of collaboration in promoting MRI safety education.

MRI Safety Matters hosted the course in the UK for the sixth time. Founder Barbara Nugent said: “Support from our sponsors is so important. It enables us to bring together expert teaching, innovation and practical resources in a way that genuinely benefits MRI professionals in their day-to-day practice. Access to quality venues and incorporation of the vendors’ exhibition also enhances the overall learning experience.”

Over three days, attendees worked through MRI safety scenarios, exploring how to assess risk and make confident decisions in complex clinical situations. The learning extended beyond the lecture theatre with two post-course virtual sessions. This year, participants also benefited from MRI Safety Matters’ collaboration with Swedish MedTech company Corsmed, which provided every attendee with the option of receiving 40 hours of access to its MRI Simulator app and premium content. This will also be available in October for the 2026 MRI Safety Update and Innovations Day.
