Chair of Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust board David Highton, Maidstone PETCT centre unit manager Sharon Meadows, head of PETCT south Sally Albon and consultant radiologist Dr Alexis Corrigan.

In partnership with Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust and the Kent Oncology Centre, Alliance Medical has helped provide the first purpose-built static PETCT centre in Kent, adjoining the nuclear medicine department at Maidstone Hospital.  The service was previously provided by mobile scanners.

The scanner has been in operation since September 2017 and was officially opened by trust chief executive Miles Scott at a special information event on January 31.  “It is a great pleasure to open Kent’s first static PETCT centre at Maidstone Hospital,” he said.  “This development enables us to provide cutting-edge treatment to more people and in dedicated, high quality facilities that provide the best possible patient experience.”
