Esaote at King George Hospital

Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust urologist Dr Lewis Mambu has chosen Esaote’s MyLab Omega portable ultrasound system for King George Hospital’s outpatient diagnostic unit for local anaesthetic transperineal prostate biopsy workload.

The department was looking for a system that would aid in increasing clinics, both in the department and in theatres when required.

Dr Mambu said: “We are really happy with the Esaote system that we purchased. It is easy to use and allows for great visualisation of the prostate gland in cognitive targeting of lesions. The machine is portable, allowing us to use it in clinic and theatres.

“The image quality is impressive and on a par with most high end systems on the market. With the attractive price point, its cost effectiveness is demonstrable.”
