Konica Minolta introduces dynamic DR to mobile x-ray

Mobile x-ray is vital for imaging in acute and critical care, particularly for patients who cannot be safely moved. Konica Minolta’s AeroDR TX, distributed by Hospital Services Limited (HSL) in the UK and Ireland, introduces dynamic digital radiography (DDR) to the mobile x-ray environment, enabling clinicians to visualise anatomy in motion at the point of care.
Unlike conventional static x-ray, DDR captures a rapid sequence of images over a short period of time, creating a dynamic view of physiological movement. This allows assessment of motion such as lung expansion and diaphragmatic movement, providing functional information alongside traditional anatomical imaging, all using a familiar x-ray workflow and low radiation dose.
The AeroDR TX integrates this capability into a compact, wireless mobile designed for use in wards, emergency departments and intensive care units. By allowing both static and dynamic imaging to be performed at the bedside, the system supports timely clinical decision making while reducing the need for patient transport.
To support education and clinical understanding of this technology, HSL is offering an in-trust, CPD-accredited DDR Insight Event: Mobile X-Ray Education Session. It will combine live demonstrations with practical discussion around workflows, applications and potential clinical value.
