Barts Health NHS Trust in London has awarded Sectra a ten-year contract to supply radiology IT and VNA solutions in its aim to consolidate resources.

The trust consists of six hospitals servicing 2.5 million people in east London.  Barts Health chose Sectra’s solution to deliver a more efficient image handling workflow throughout the hospitals and enable cost-savings by sharing of resources.

The contract comprises Sectra’s IT solution for the management of radiology images, PACS including integration of the various RIS used across the hospitals, and Sectra Open Archive, a solution for long-term storage of images.  It connects any Dicom-compliant image storage system.
