Leeds Test Objects supply digital mammography systems

With Leeds Tests Objects director Adrian Walker are Castle Hill Hospital’s acting superintendent radiographer Helen Warren, radiation protection and diagnostic imaging physicist Dr Tim Wood and principal physicist and radiation protection adviser Dr Craig Moore.

The north east, Yorkshire and the Humber regional quality assurance reference centre of the breast screening programme has chosen Leeds Test Objects Limited to supply 86 DMAM2-GOLD digital mammography phantoms.

These comprises a fine tolerance PMMA casing with 78 gold threshold contrast details in six sizes, with diameters ranging from 0.1mm to 2.0mm, and a contrast range of 0.489 to 27.56 per cent.

The phantom was designed to meet EUREF guidelines for digital mammography.
