Llandudno hospital upgrades to bring first 7000 M to Wales

The first Philips 7000 M has gone live in Wales at Llandudno General Hospital. The mobile radiography system is being used to provide an x-ray service while the radiology department at Llandudno is undergoing renovation.
“An opportunity arose to replace two older machines with new digital systems and the Philips equipment suited our needs. The mobile machine is very compact and easy to move around. With this upgrade, we are benefiting from quicker examinations, better quality images and lower doses,” said principal radiographer – operations (west) Tracey Connah.
The hospital has also invested in a 10-year service contract, in order to ensure the equipment receives regular check-ups, performs optimally and so that the team can avoid any unexpected downtime.
The 7000 M is a high quality mobile x-ray machine designed to improve patient care and make daily operations easier. Its modern design allows for reliable performance, smooth movement and easy positioning to help healthcare providers work quickly and effectively.
