Low table height is a particular bonus for Royal Surrey’s patients

Radiology directorate services manager Wendy Dengate, radiographer Christopher Moore, interventional lead radiographer Jann Paton, consultant radiologist Dr Alex Horton, Toshiba Medical Systems account executive CT/XR/MR Mark Foxall and radiographer Anita Sankar.

Royal Surrey County Hospital has acquired a Toshiba Ultimax-i x-ray fluoroscopy system that offers three systems in one, with angiography, radiography/fluoroscopy and direct radiography available in one unit.

GI advanced practitioner Elisabeth Main said: “We find the Toshiba Ultimax-i a very easy machine to use and particularly appreciate the low table height which facilitates the transfer of immobile and wheelchair patients.  In addition, our patients all love the ceiling installation with its creative lighting.  It is proving to be a much more relaxing experience for them.”

“We had an old Toshiba Ultimax-i and as well as its excellent image quality and the low dose, we opted for the Ultimax-i again because of the excellent service support we always receive from Toshiba.”
