Management of pain at Charing Cross

At Charing Cross Hospital, a MyLab 25 Gold portable ultrasound system has been installed in the pain management department where it will be used to guide the placement of nerve blocks for chronic pain management involving neuraxial, peripheral nerve, and soft tissue structures.

 

The system was chosen for its portability and image quality.  The 18MHz linear probe provides the resolution needed to visualize the nerve target and surrounding structures to ensure accurate needle placement.
