MedCurrent to highlight impact of CDS software on referrals

At UKIO 2023, MedCurrent, a provider of clinical decision support (CDS) software, will share the latest iteration of its iRefer CDS platform, which integrates The Royal College of Radiologists iRefer guidelines. The company will highlight the impacts the platform has had on imaging appropriateness and quality of radiology referrals throughout England.
With support from the NHS Digital Diagnostic Capability Programme, MedCurrent is currently working with more than 50 NHS trusts to implement iRefer CDS in order to support better patient care outcomes as well as to ensure that healthcare system resources, such as staffing and equipment, are optimised. The ultimate goal for customers will be to leverage iRefer CDS to support future automation of the radiology value chain, such as radiologist and/or radiographer vetting, in order to help optimise radiology services and costs.
On Monday, June 5, at 14:00 in the UKIO Innovation Hub, MedCurrent and a panel of customers will share real-world insights on the implementation of iRefer CDS to primary and secondary care as well as outline key lessons learned from existing projects.
During Wednesday’s industry session, at 14:40 MedCurrent will be joining leading healthcare industry suppliers in a UKIO-led panel discussion and will look at the role of using CDS to improve diagnostic requesting in the NHS.
Visit booth B48 to see a demonstration of the MedCurrent iRefer CDS platform in action and to speak to the team about how they can help support your diagnostic imaging transformation.
