MedCurrent to share real-world insights on implementation journey of iRefer CDS to primary and secondary care

At UKIO 2024, MedCurrent, a company specialising in clinical decision support (CDS) software, will be showcasing the latest iteration of its iRefer CDS platform, which integrates The Royal College of Radiologists’ iRefer guidelines.  It will be highlighting the impact that the platform has had on imaging appropriateness and quality of radiology referrals throughout England.

With support from the NHS Digital Diagnostic Capability Programme, MedCurrent is working with over 50 NHS trusts to implement iRefer CDS in order to support better patient care outcomes as well as ensure that healthcare system resources, such as staffing and equipment, are optimised. The ultimate goal for customers will be to leverage iRefer CDS to support future automation of the radiology value chain, such as radiologist and/or radiographer vetting, in order to further support optimisation of radiology services and costs.

On Tuesday, June 11, from 11:40am – 12:40pm in the UKIO Clinical Hub, delegates can join MedCurrent and customers as they share real-world insights on the implementation journey of iRefer CDS to primary and secondary care as well as outline key lessons learned from existing projects. In addition, MedCurrent says it will be sharing insights around taking CDS beyond radiology.

Please visit stand B2 to see a demonstration of the MedCurrent iRefer CDS platform in action and speak to the team about how MedCurrent can help support your diagnostic imaging transformation.
