Milestone for British radiotherapy manufacturer

In December 2012, after months of work, the team at Oncology Systems Limited learned that its radiotherapy auto-contouring, imaging and adaptive radiotherapy software OnQ rts had received FDA market clearance to be marketed in the USA.

Director and clinical advisor Julie Mead said: “For years we have distributed radiotherapy systems manufactured in the USA into the UK.  Now, after developing our own software, we are extremely proud to be exporting OnQ to North America.   Another achievement outside of the UK is that one of Europe’s top radiotherapy hospitals in Heidelberg is using the software extensively and giving us very positive feedback.”
