Mobile 3T Ingenia MRI will be a world first

Philips Healthcare UK and Ireland md John Atwill with Cobalt chief executive Peter Sharpe and director of Lamboo Specials Sales BV Joost JR Lamboo.

Philips Healthcare and its approved partner Lamboo Mobile Medical have received an order from Cobalt to build a mobile unit containing the Philips Ingenia 3.0T MRI system.  When operational, it will be the world’s first Ingenia 3.0T to be housed in a mobile unit.

Cobalt chief executive Peter Sharpe said: “The Ingenia is a terrific system with stunning images. The flexibility offered by our existing mobile unit has been incredibly popular.   We are able to give NHS trusts access to premium quality technology and with this new unit we will enable trusts to increase their flexibility and tackle more specialist imaging in areas such as neuro and orthopaedic.

“We have a great relationship with Philips Healthcare; the support we get from the team is really valuable.  We are also delighted to be once more working with Lamboo and their innovative approach to mobile MRI technology.”
