Medica strengthens leadership with key appointments

Provider of teleradiology and diagnostics services Medica has made three senior appointments to its clinical leadership team.
Annabel Bentley has been named interim chief medical officer, whose more than 30 years of clinical and healthcare leadership experience includes executive roles at InHealth, AXA Health and Bupa UK.
“What excites me most about joining Medica is the opportunity to unlock the power of its data.” said Bentley. “As one of the first teleradiology providers in the UK, there is over 20 years of clinical insight that can help the NHS better manage emergency patient flow and identify variation in care.”
Dr Amrita Kumar joins as radiology and AI clinical lead, following more than a decade of experience in breast cancer screening and AI integration in imaging. Based in Dubai as HealthBay Clinics consultant breast interventional radiologist and AI implementation lead, she is also a trustee of The British Institute of Radiology and a global ambassador for the Global Council for Responsible AI.
“Teleradiology has immense potential when combined with the right AI tools,” said Dr Kumar. “Medica is perfectly placed to lead this transformation, ensuring that technology is used responsibly to support radiologists and enhance patient outcomes.”
Hassan Chaudhury has been appointed digital propositions lead. He recently supported commercial growth at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust and serves as commercial director of DATA-CAN, the UK’s health data research hub for cancer.
“Digital innovation in diagnostics is not just about tech; it’s about value for patients, clinicians and systems,” said Chaudhury. “I’m thrilled to help Medica create new digital pathways that are clinically robust and commercially sustainable.”
