MRI and CT scanners centerpiece of Poole imaging

Alliance Medical senior operations manager Stuart Pendlebury is pictured with BMI The Harbour Hospital deputy radiology manager Jane Heron, senior radiographer Kirsten Buchholz and executive director Dan Stonell.
Work has started on a £2 million diagnostics suite at BMI The Harbour Hospital in Poole. Early stages of the project will see the former Old Nursery building on St Mary’s Road renovated internally and externally, before the hospital takes delivery of a Siemens Aera MRI scanner that will be the centrepiece of the imaging department alongside a new GE Optima 660 64-slice CT scanner.
Consultant radiologist Dr Alistair Thomson said: “The MRI and CT scanners will enhance the diagnostic imaging services provided by the hospital, offering patients rapid access to scanning and providing quality images.”
