InHealth has opened a new MRI scanning unit as part of the InHealth MRI Centre at Manor Hospital, Walsall.  Senior trust management, senior clinicians and InHealth representatives were there to witness the Mayor and Mayoress of Walsall officially opening the unit.

Two Siemens Aera scanners are part of a major healthcare investment of £3.2m.  As 72cm wide bore systems they are more agreeable for patients who suffer from claustrophobia and are also suitable for bariatric patients.

InHealth director of operations north Graham Ogden said: “We are proud of our longstanding and trusted partnership with the trust and are honoured to be able to continue this partnership for a further 15 years, working to deliver an outstanding service, provide quicker access to diagnostic imaging and facilitate a broader clinical patient base.”
