Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust agreed a managed service contract in 2012 with Fujifilm and installed Synapse PACS and Synapse 3D. The current contract, which has just been renewed, includes a fully integrated PACS system for the trust and satellite hospitals, 15 plain film x-ray retrofits and over 80 reporting /clinical PACS workstations.
In 2016 the trust underwent a market testing exercise, to review the current Fujifilm managed service and future-proof the radiology department’s planned growth over the next five years. PACS and IEP manager Martin Doddington said: “Not only did Fujifilm demonstrate outstanding value for money, but advances in technology such as the D-Evo II wireless DR detectors and the FDR Go Flex portable DR system demonstrated huge dose reductions across all D-Evo II retrofit rooms and portable imaging, and a 40 per cent efficiency improvement in patient workflow.”
