Staff at North Devon District Hospital have upgraded their mobile imaging capabilities with Samsung’s state-of-the-art GM85 digital x-ray system. Light and compact, the system is easy and quick to move around and fully charges in around two hours. The GM85 is available with Samsung’s new detectors in various sizes, which offer a high detective quantum efficiency, low dose and superb image quality.
Superintendent radiographer Julian Fuery said: “The staff are extremely happy with the new GM85. The unit has enabled us to improve the pathway of patients that are too ill to attend the department. It is compact and easy to manoeuvre and has a very user-friendly interface with added functionality, which is a real benefit to the user. Radiologists and other clinicians have commented on the high quality of the images produced, with one radiologist suggesting the chest x-rays were the best he’d ever seen.”
Supported exclusively in the UK by MIS Healthcare, this partnership with Samsung offers customers among the best packages available, states the company.
