Nuffield Health Newcastle undergoes major DR upgrade

Nuffield Health Newcastle upon Tyne Hospital’s radiology department has received the UK’s first compact, ultra-lightweight Fujifilm FDR nano. Fujifilm’s D-Evo II detector combined with Virtual Grid and Dynamic Visualisation II Image Processing facilitates high image quality at low dose. As a result the FDR nano is small and lightweight, making it agile and flexible and, says the company, it is already proving to be a big hit.
“The staff absolutely love it,” said radiology manager Amanda Cumersdale. “The image quality is fabulous and the processing time is extremely fast – we have seen a definite improvement in our workflow. We wanted our new mobile unit to be intuitive, easily manoeuvrable and small, and the FDR nano ticked all of those boxes.”
