Patient transters made easier at Leeds General Infirmary

Leeds General Infirmary’s major trauma unit has taken delivery of a set of TraumaTransfer mattresses supplied by Wolverson X-Ray Limited. Consultant in emergency medicine and trust major trauma quality improvement lead Dr Jonathan Jones said: “The mattress has helped us to get our trauma patients to CT faster and makes transfer from trolley to CT table safer for patients and staff. The sheets and head restraints provide good immobilisation and help keep the patient warm.”
