Patients are more comfortable during faster imaging in Bangor

Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor, part of the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, has enhanced image quality and decreased dose with the addition of a Somatom Definition Stellar Edge from Siemens Healthcare.

“The system is incredibly intuitive and straightforward to use, and the dose saving capabilities mean that only half the dose is required when imaging the head than that of our previous system,” said lead radiographer Sue Scott-Lee. “As a hospital we pride ourselves on providing the patient with a quality service, so we are thrilled to be able to make patients feel more comfortable during imaging procedures.”
