North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust’s Peterborough City Hospital has updated the first of its emergency department x-ray rooms.  It wanted a state-of-the-art DR system to meet its exacting requirements and Althea, the hospital’s managed service provider arranged a market-testing exercise.  The trust selected Samsung’s new GC85 system that will provide the robust equipment needed in the busy clinical environment and to deal with daily challenges.  Supplied by MIS Healthcare, Samsung’s fully-automates suite is said to significantly reduce the risks of RSI while offering the department a fast workflow.

Principal operational radiographer David Hosking said: “We are extremely pleased with our new Samsung equipment which has increased the speed with which we are able to image patients.   Manoeuvrability is effortless for the radiographers; the equipment has been well received by the team with its ease of use.  Training and support has been exceptional and the reporting radiographer practitioners have praised the image quality.”
