Philips promises to elevate image-guided therapy with Azurion for minimally invasive procedures

ECR Expo, News
Philips at ECR

Philips says visitors to ECR will be able to learn about its latest innovations in imaging, ultrasound and image-guided therapy, all designed to help clinicians deliver precision care with confidence.

At the centre of its image-guided therapy portfolio is Azurion, Philips’ next-generation platform that transforms the way minimally invasive procedures are performed, the company states. It integrates advanced capabilities with an innovative system geometry to support improved workflow, enabling clinicians to work efficiently and focus on the patient. The company will also showcase SmartCT, which enriches its 3D interventional tools with step-by-step guidance, designed to remove barriers to acquiring 3D images in the interventional lab.

Building on Azurion’s capabilities, LumiGuide is a 3D device guidance solution that provides real-time visualisation of devices inside the patient’s anatomy. Powered by Fiber Optic RealShape technology, which uses light instead of x-rays to visualise devices in 3D, LumiGuide integrates with Azurion to turn light into data with 3D device guidance in a radiation-free environment. Additionally, delegates can explore Philips’ image-guided therapy devices portfolio for diagnosing and addressing peripheral vascular disease.
