Preferred mammography equipment supplier equips Spire Bushey

Spire Bushey senior specialist mammographer Nicola Pinder, deputy imaging manager Karen Higgins and Hologic Breast Health sales specialist John McMahon.
When Spire Bushey Hospital in Hertfordshire replaced its digital mammography equipment, deputy imaging manager Karen Higgins says that Hologic was high on her list of possible suppliers. She has had previous experience using Hologic equipment, while for her principal consultant radiologists it was the system of choice at local teaching institutions and as part of the North London Breast Screening Service.
Installation of a Hologic Selenia Dimensions unit took place with minimum disruption, ensuring that breast imaging services were maintained. Higgins said: “One of the main reasons for choosing Hologic was that its ergonomic design enabled it to fit in a pretty tight space and in talking with other users they always commented on how user friendly they found the equipment. We have been impressed with the apps training in particular and the attention to detail from all parts of the Hologic organisation – from installation, service, apps and commercial. Patients have commented that they have found the examination more comfortable and certainly quicker than with our previous equipment.”
