Princess Alexandra Hospital invests in pair of scanners

Canon Medical Systems ultrasound applications specialist Lisa Wright, deputy lead sonographer Paula Mattock, Canon Medical Systems ultrasound account manager Iain Dunn, student sonographers Ed Onyewuotu and Vidhya Mohanasundaram and sonographer Ciara Saw.

Princess Alexandra Hospital, Harlow, has invested in two Canon Medical Systems Aplio i800 ultrasound systems for its maternity department.  A new generation of high performance ultrasound scanners with a scalable platform, the Aplio i800 series is said to allow sonographers to see more clinical details, faster and easier.

Lead sonographer Steph Metcalfe said: “Our department already has a large proportion of Canon Medical Systems’ equipment and we have always found the applications training and service support second-to-none.  We are looking forward to taking advantage of the improved technology, having had excellent experience with our previous Canon Medical Systems equipment in many areas of ultrasound.”
