Probo Veterinary performs rapid reinstallation to enable live scanning in seven days

Probo Veterinary delivered a full deinstallation and reinstallation project at Vets4Pets Barnsley, replacing an outdated CT system with a new Canon Medical Systems Aquilion Prime SP. The project was planned to minimise disruption to the veterinary practice, with all critical stages such as transportation, rigging, storage and logistics completed within a seven-day window.
The mechanical services team, supported by service engineers, began the removal of the old CT system on a Thursday afternoon and, by the Sunday evening, the new scanner was fully installed and operational. Following this, Integrated Radiological Services conducted the critical examination, with Smales Radiation Services radiation protection adviser Zoe Jane Smales simultaneously attending site to approve the installation. The following day, application set-up and training began, which was completed by the end of the working week, concluding with live animal scanning and full operational handover.
