QA tool provides dedicated modes for sonographers and engineers

Multi-Medix, which aims to make ultrasound quality assurance (QA) simple, fast and accessible, has created Multi-Mode ultrasound testing. Multi-Mode enables users to find faults quickly and discover whether their system is performing as it should, without the cost or complexity of traditional testing.
Multi-Mode is simple to use: scan the test object, send the image to PACS or drag it into the software, and an electronic report is generated instantly. Baselining takes minutes, freeing up valuable scanning time. From a single scanner to county-wide QA programmes, Multi-Mode will work with cart, portable and hand-held devices.
“What sets Multi-Mode apart are its three dedicated modes, designed to meet the needs of both sonographers and engineers,” the company says. Test-Mode provides a quick first-line check for uniformity and dropout, QA-Mode delivers automated departmental reporting with powerful dashboards and data outputs, while Service-Mode supports biomedical engineers with preventive maintenance and detailed system analysis.
Together, these options are intended to make Multi-Mode an easily scalable testing and QA solution.
The company partners with Modality Group for distribution of Multi-Mode in the UK. The ultrasound servicing and repair specialist will provide demonstrations, advice and ongoing support, ensuring Multi-Mode is widely accessible across the healthcare sector.
Multi-Medix says it continues to promote QA through independent testing, resources and practical training. Courses such as Probe Care Essentials are designed to help clinicians make QA part of everyday practice, while the company continues its research in ultrasound physics.
