The Breast Screening and Assessment Centre at Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle has received one of the first installations of the Aplio i-series ultrasound system from Toshiba Medical Systems. The equipment comes with Superb Microvascular Imaging (SMI) and Smart 3D technology as standard.
Consultant radiographer Merilyn Cockburn said: “The system is a replacement for a much older Aplio. We have two Toshiba ultrasound machines and we have found them to be very reliable and user-friendly. In addition, the technical and applications support has always been very good. The image quality of the new equipment is very impressive.”
