RF cage arrives in Guernsey by ferry

Palletised goods arrive

Envirotect has been involved in the installation of an RF cage on the island of Guernsey. Strict measures were in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic and Envirotect’s installation team was required to create a Travel Tracker account and download an NHS COVID Pass in advance. Negative lateral flow test results were also required upon arrival.

The copper MRI shielding system is manufactured at the company’s premises in Leighton Buzzard. MRI contracts manager Howard Nutkins visited the site in advance to verify conditions and dimensions, which helped with the accurate manufacture and delivery schedule of the custom-made room.

Due to the location of the project, deliveries had to be carefully timed to ensure minimal disruption to the installation team. Planning was essential since all the tools and materials had to be delivered to the island by ferry. Working closely with its freight agent, Envirotect managed to complete the project ahead of schedule.
