Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (RJAH) in Shropshire has installed an Acuson S2000 ultrasound system from Siemens Healthcare. The system’s workload is 60 per cent musculoskeletal procedures and 40 per cent GP direct access ultrasound. Radiologists using the system are said to be benefitting from improved clinical confidence due to the fine detail of images.
“Installation was very easy and Siemens Healthcare provided excellent applications training, so the team were well versed on the new technology in minimal time,” states diagnostic divisional manager Eric Hughes. “The image quality offered by the system has certainly provided staff at RJAH with enhanced diagnostic capability.”
