South Tyneside Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has invested in a Toshiba Infinix VF-i vascular imaging system.  Compact and flexible and with a large flat panel detector it is said to offer excellent performance as a universal system covering not only examinations of head, arms and abdomen, but also cardiac studies.

A replacement for an existing room, the suite will be used for cardiology and interventional radiology.  Radiology service lead Karen Green said: “The equipment is very user friendly and flexible, allowing multipurpose access to high quality imaging for cardiologists and radiologists.  The flexibility of the C-arm allows us to readily image any area of the patient in a timely manner.”
