Royal Marsden appreciates fast tomosynthesis biopsy

Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust has installed a Hologic Selenia Dimensions 3D mammography unit with SecurView, C-View Software and an Affirm 3D Biopsy module in its symptomatic breast unit at the Royal Marsden Hospital in Sutton.
Lead clinical breast specialist radiographer Vicky Sinnett said: “This is our first experience of using Hologic equipment and my colleagues and I are pleased with the results so far. We are pleased with the speed of the tomosynthesis biopsy application. Patients spend a much shorter period under compression so there is an immediate enhancement in patient care.”
