The Royal Victoria Infirmary (RVI) in Newcastle upon Tyne has upgraded its Philips Allura interventional x-ray system to an Allura Clarity IQ.  The upgrade comes with the company’s latest dose reduction technology and enabled the hospital to invest in the latest technology without the expense of replacing existing hardware.

Consultant neuroradiologist Professor Philip White, the UK’s first university chair in interventional neuroradiology, said: “Clarity IQ has certainly lived up to my expectations.  I recommend it everywhere I go.  I would say to people that if your machine is not new you should consider the benefits of the upgrade.”
