Sandwell goes syringeless for CT injection

Sandwell General Hospital, Birmingham, has updated from a syringe injector to a syringeless CT injector, the Bracco CT Exprès.

Deputy superintendent radiographer Martin Batterby said: “It is a considerably different system to that which we had used for many years.  After evaluation of several systems, we chose the CT Exprès to replace out three CT pressure injectors.  We have not been disappointed – ease and speed of use including programming, flexibility of protocols, simplicity of staff training, hygienic, safe operation and cost have all been the strengths of this system.  We use it for all general CT contrast administrators and cardiac CT angiography too.”
