Caring for autistic and neurodivergent people in medical imaging: the City radiography research group experience and future work

Neurodivergence refers to variations in the way we perceive the environment or act upon it from what is considered as standard (neurotypical) in the human brain. The term is rooted in the neurodiversity movement, which emerged from autistic self-advocates and has expanded to include individuals with diagnoses such as ADHD, dyslexia and dyspraxia, among others.
