Excerpt: Whole body MRI (WBMRI) has been revolutionised over the two decades since its inception, and has become an exciting and effective method for whole body imaging in a single examination. WBMRI can provide both morphological and functional information in a relatively short examination. The valuable and extensive information WBMRI provides, along with the absence of ionisation radiation, make it a vital tool in the diagnostic pathway of patients with musculoskeletal diseases.
