Screening QA team appreciates 3D technology at York Hospital

Public Health England head of quality assurance for cancer screening Dr Keith Faulkner, York Hospital breast unit imaging manager Debbie Brian and Hologic UK sales specialist Kevin Owens.

York Hospital’s breast screening unit has received a Public Health England (PHE) QA assessment visit from head of quality assurance for cancer screening Dr Keith Faulkner and a team of colleagues, as part of the North Yorkshire Breast Screening Programme three-yearly audit.

They were hosted at York Hospital by programme manager and breast imaging unit clinical lead Dr Julie Cooper, breast imaging unit general manager Mrs Debbie Brian and the breast screening multidisciplinary team.  Kevin Owens from Hologic UK was also on hand to answer questions about the breast imaging technology used and to discuss with the visiting team the innovative total solutions for Hologic 3D-guided breast biopsy and theatre work.
