Small footprint of open MRI system fits Bournemouth health centre’s needs

Lyfe Health Bournemouth healthcare centre has added Esaote’s dedicated open MRI S-scan to its suite of cutting-edge diagnostic technology, including 3D Movement Analysis, Functional Strength Testing and Footscan technology, to help its clients meet their recovery plans. The high street site is also home to a rehabilitation gym, a reformer pilates studio and hands-on treatment rooms.

Chief clinical officer Andrew Curtis said: “At Lyfe Health Bournemouth we endeavour to bring clients closer to their recovery plans through cutting-edge technologies and giving greater access to diagnostic testing, without having to visit a hospital site.

“The Esaote S-scan dedicated MRI scanner was ideal for our vision as the quality of the system, alongside the small installation space and low energy consumption, were perfect to allow us to bring this state-of-the-art imaging to the high street, while not compromising on our environmental sustainability. The care we have had from Esaote throughout the process has been excellent.”

Esaote says the S-scan is an efficient MRI system that is easy to use, with simple patient workflow that cost effectively delivers outstanding image quality. Its open design and real-time image display on the gantry facilitate fast and easy patient positioning. DICOM worklist, network integration and no cryogens mean that S-scan enables cost-effective MRI, whether centres are performing one or 20 examinations per day.
