Opened by Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh, the South West Acute Hospital in Enniskillen is said to be one of the best-equipped hospitals in Europe.  The Western Health and Social Care Trust has invested in the latest in MRI, CT, interventional angiography and digital x-ray technologies from Siemens Healthcare for its radiology department.

It is the first new hospital to be built in Northern Ireland in more than 20 years and delivers services including acute medicine, A&E, critical care, imaging and diagnostics.
