Spire Cheshire Hospital near Warrington has installed a multi-purpose Aplio 500 ultrasound system in its radiology department.   It will work alongside the hospital’s existing Aplio system and will provide enhanced diagnostic ultrasound services across a wide spectrum of clinical examinations to the hospital’s private patients.  The service will include radiology, vascular, echocardiography, transrectal and musculoskeletal ultrasound imaging.

Radiology and physiotherapy department manager Karen Whalley said: “The majority of our consultants already use our existing Aplio scanner, so they found the operation and controls on the system were very familiar and easy to use.  The radiologists have been particularly impressed with the high-frequency detail and quality of the musculoskeletal imaging.”
