Spire Roding Valley Hospital, part of the Spire Healthcare private hospitals group, has taken delivery of a Toshiba Ultimax-i multi-purpose x-ray system.
The system is the first in the world to be delivered with a second x-ray tube to give both the patient and user maximum flexibility and comfort.
With the second tube, all requested x-ray examinations may be performed in the same room without the patient being moved between rooms to undergo the various examinations requested.
Radiology manager Carl Smith says: “The new system will make a major difference for our patients, not only in terms of patient comfort, but also in greater diagnostic accuracy and lower radiation levels.”
