Sunderland Royal Hospital has installed an Aquilion One Genesis Edition CT system in its newly-built emergency department.
CT modality lead Cheryl Bean said: Our new CT scanner, located within the footprint of our new ED, will allow us to provide faster access for the scanning of patients presenting to the department. We chose a Canon Medical Systems scanner to add to our two existing systems within radiology. The ease-of-use of the scanning platform allows transferable skills between all three scanners.
