Syringeless injectors reduce waste and mess

Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital has purchased two CT Exprès syringless injectors from Bracco. Trust lead radiographer (CT scanning) David Winthrop said: “The CT Exprès is a fantastic piece of kit and has surpassed all of my expectations. The syringe-free design is mess free, extremely user friendly and allows for a very quick turnaround between patients.
“More importantly, the CT Exprès enables the radiographers to adjust the volume of contrast used depending on patient size. This has resulted in considerable savings in the amount of contrast used.”
