Tameside veteran plans his change of direction

Paul Fish has been at Tameside Hospital for 41 years, in which time he has seen the role of the radiographer grow significantly.

Radiographer and radiology manager Paul Fish, who worked at Tameside Hospital for 41 years, has taken his last x-ray and now believes “the time is now right to move on.”

He has taken early retirement to spend more time with his family and wife Pauline, who retired as a paediatric secretary from Tameside Hospital in Greater Manchester last year.

Paul added: “I have enjoyed working at Tameside Hospital; I have met some great people and made friends over the years.  I wish them all well and hope to keep in touch with many of them.  It’s going to be a big thing leaving everything at the hospital  behind, but I now want to enjoy myself whilst I still have the energy and opportunity.”
