Transducer range is key

Hitachi Medical Systems clinical application specialist Christien Phillips with sonographer Lindsay Downey, consultant sonographer Bob Kent and sonographer Louise Hall with a Hi Vision ultrasound system.

Hitachi Medical Systems has been chosen to supply the University Hospital of North Durham, Shotley Bridge Hospital and Chester-le-Street Community Hospital with three Hi Vision ultrasound systems consisting of a Preirus and two Avius systems.

 

Consultant sonographer Bob Kent of the University Hospital of North Durham said the equipment was chosen for its excellent image quality, extensive transducer range and user friendly touch text, claimed to be ideal for meeting the demands of the busy, multi-centre sites with clinical requirements that include general radiology, prostate, breast and obstetrics, and in particular for detailed 20 week scans and fetal heart assessment.
