In September, a meeting at St Paul’s Cathedral discussed the practical implications of treating lutetium patients as day cases. Consultant gastroenterologist Dr Raj Srirajaskanthan from King’s College Hospital, London, led with an informative presentation including a Netter-1 results update and information on managing symptomatic GEP-NET patients.
King’s College consultant nuclear medicine physician Dr Gill Vivian discussed how a Lu-177 one-day protocol improves a nuclear medicine department’s treatment capacity. Dr Eleni Kalogianni from the NM department of molecular imaging and therapy at King’s College Hospital shared best practice regarding the treatment protocol and radiation protection.
