Updated x-ray room is already making a difference

Philips UKI account manager, imaging systems Sally Maclachlan, imaging service lead Philippa Willis, radiographers Andrew Derrington and Rebecca Pinner, Philips UKI DXR applications specialist Alex Randle and radiographers Kathryn Cook and Penny Bennion.
Good Hope Hospital, part of Heart of England NHS Trust, has replaced 14-year-old radiography equipment with a DigitalDiagnost HP wireless room and integrated CR from Philips UKI.
Based in the emergency department, the x-ray room will not only give patients access to the best care and experience, but will also support the team and the site to manage the increasingly heavy demand on its emergency services.
Imaging service lead Philippa Willis said: “The equipment replacement is part of a larger refurbishment project across all our hospital sites, which has seen an investment of over £3m. We have been in desperate need to upgrade and modernise the imaging facilities and the new x-ray room at Good Hope is already making a huge difference to our patients. The upgrade of imaging equipment in the coming months will further improve the service we provide across all of our hospitals and make a real difference to our staff and patients’ experience.”
