George Eliot Hospital in Nuneaton has eased demand for its CT scanner with the acquisition of a Philips Allura Clarity FD20 vascular imaging system.

Senior radiographer Matthew Rayner says: “The CT facility with needle guidance means we are able to perform biopsies, thus relieving pressure on our CT scanner.  It also enables accurate positioning of stents and embolic materials during complex interventional procedures.  We haven’t expanded our workload as yet, but our cardiologists, once they saw the equipment, were very keen to get in and use it.”
