The Venue 40 will be extensively used in the main theatres.  Its acquisition comes about following an initiative by hospital lead consultant Dr Elizabeth Bradshaw who wanted to increase the number of portable ultrasound systems to cope with extra capacity passing through theatres and the demand for ultrasound guided line placements in the ICU.
