Well organised installation adds confidence

At Frenchay Hospital are clinical radiographer in gastrointestinal fluoroscopy Helen Carter and Siemens Healthcare regional sales manager Darren Parker.

Frenchay Hospital, part of North Bristol NHS Trust, has installed an Artis zee multi-purpose interventional imaging system from Siemens Healthcare.  Located in the x-ray department, it replaced an existing Siemens system and is being used for a number of procedures including fluoroscopy, proctogram examinations, transjugular liver biopsies and stent insertions, as well as handling a general interventional workload.

“One of the reasons for choosing the Artis zee was because we were already comfortable with using the advanced interface on Siemens’ imaging systems,” states radiographer Alison Bohin. “The installation was exceptionally well organised and clinical applications specialists have been helpful. We have been really impressed with the image quality and are confident that we made the right choice.”
